Suitability is screened through declared route, community role, safeguarding commitments, and category alignment. Requests meant for press, research, or unrelated access are redirected away from community membership.

Kenyan and East African queer communities use many languages and identities. We welcome the words that feel true for you.

Allies, funders, and organisations are welcome through clearly aligned routes that keep queer leadership and community safety at the center.

Approvals are reviewed in AIMS by an authorised Afrinalia team member before access details are shared.

Confidentiality First

Stories, identities, and community information shared through this process must be treated with care and must not be exposed without consent.

Queer-Affirming Conduct

Every member is expected to respect names, pronouns, identities, faith journeys, bodies, and lived realities across the LGBTIAQGNC spectrum.

No Hate, Harassment, or Exploitation

Discrimination, outing, predatory behavior, coercion, or any form of violence is not tolerated in Afrinalia spaces online or offline.

Consent in Community

Members must seek consent before sharing contact details, photos, screenshots, stories, or adding others into sensitive conversations.

Our WhatsApp bulletin is for verified community updates, opportunities, care notices, and solidarity messaging, not spam or unsafe forwarding.

Right to Review

Afrinalia may pause, decline, or remove membership access where safety, safeguarding, or alignment concerns arise.

Application Type

Individual Apply as an individual community member, peer, ally, volunteer, or supporter. Organisation Register a collective, CBO, NGO, service provider, or institution seeking partnership.

Connection / Identity Route

Queer Community Member For LGBTIAQGNC people seeking belonging, care, mutual aid, or community grounding. Peer Survivor Leader For survivors and peer leaders who want to mentor, co-create, and shape safer spaces. Ally / Supporter For non-queer supporters who want to volunteer, contribute, or stand in solidarity under queer-led terms. Partner Organisation For organisations, collectives, and institutions seeking partnership or referral alignment. Service Provider For practitioners or organisations offering legal, medical, psychosocial, housing, or emergency services. Funder / Donor For funders, sponsors, and resource partners supporting Afrinalia’s community care work. Media / Research / Other For requests better suited to direct contact, press, research ethics review, or other pathways.
